Target the toughest ant challenges hidden nests, trail persistence, food contamination, rapid colony spread, and recurring infestations with Resylica® Technology, engineered for precise, reliable, long-lasting control.
Ants are among the most successful and widespread insects on Earth, with more than 14,000 identified species worldwide, and thousands more yet to be described. Among these, black ants and red ants are the most common nuisance species found in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Ants are highly social insects that live in organized colonies consisting of queens, workers, and brood. They communicate through chemical pheromones, allowing workers to establish trails to food and water sources. Once a food source is discovered, hundreds or even thousands of ants can quickly invade an area, making infestations difficult to control.
The global market grew from USD 943 million in 2021 to USD 1,160 million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 1,755 million by 2033, registering a CAGR of 5.31%. North America and Europe show steady growth with CAGRs of 4.61% and 4.84%, respectively, while the Asia Pacific region is expected to expand at the fastest rate (6.16%), driven by rapid urbanization and increased demand. South America also demonstrates moderate growth with a CAGR of 5.77%, reflecting rising market penetration across emerging economies
Although ants may appear harmless, large infestations can create significant hygiene, structural, and operational problems.
Black ants commonly invade homes, restaurants, offices, hospitals, warehouses, and food-processing facilities in search of food and water. They contaminate food preparation areas, stored food products, and kitchen surfaces by travelling through drains, garbage areas, and contaminated environments.
Red ants are often more aggressive and many species are capable of delivering painful bites or stings, causing irritation and allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Outdoor colonies may also damage lawns, gardens, landscaping, and recreational areas, while indoor infestations can spread rapidly through walls, electrical conduits, and structural voids.
Because ants continuously establish new foraging trails and colonies, infestations can quickly become persistent if not effectively controlled.
Traditional insecticide sprays often eliminate only the ants that are visible during application, while the majority of the colony remains protected inside wall voids, soil, cracks, crevices, beneath flooring, or within structural cavities.
Their ability to nest in concealed locations and rapidly relocate colonies makes complete elimination difficult using conventional surface treatments alone.
This is where Resylica® Technology provides a significant advantage.
Resylica® Technology controls ants through a novel physical mode of action designed to act on the insect’s respiratory system. When a droplet of Solodrop® falls onto an ant’s body, the formulation interacts with the insect’s exoskeleton and glides across its external surface toward the spiracles the microscopic respiratory openings located along the sides of its body.
Upon reaching the spiracles, the formulation enters the respiratory system and disrupts normal respiratory function. As the respiratory system becomes affected, normal airflow and gas exchange are disrupted, resulting in respiratory distress, loss of mobility, and ultimately mortality.
This differentiated physical mode of action provides rapid action following direct contact with susceptible ants. Unlike conventional insecticides that primarily rely on specific biochemical target sites, Resylica® Technology offers an alternative approach to ant control through a physical mechanism.
Solodrop® can be incorporated into treatment strategies targeting areas where ants commonly travel, shelter, and establish nests, including ant trails, cracks, crevices, structural gaps, wall voids, and other concealed locations. This supports direct-contact control as part of a comprehensive ant-management program.
Resylica® Technology acts through an advanced physical mode of action. Upon direct contact, the formulation rapidly spreads over the ant's body, initiating fast respiratory disruption and providing effective control within a short period.
The formulation quickly reaches and enters the ant's spiracles, where it floods the tracheal (respiratory) system. By disrupting normal oxygen exchange, Resylica® causes suffocation, physiological shock, immobilization, and ultimately death.
Ants travel through narrow cracks, wall voids, structural joints, and concealed pathways. The ultra-low surface tension enables the formulation to flow into these difficult-to-reach areas, increasing the likelihood of contact with hidden ants along their foraging routes.
Rather than controlling only visible worker ants, the formulation penetrates into areas where ants nest, forage, and shelter, helping to target hidden populations that sustain the infestation.
Resylica® is suitable for controlling black ants and red ants in homes, apartments, offices, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, warehouses, food-processing facilities, and other commercial or industrial environments where ant infestations are common.
